Today let’s go behind the scenes of our R&D dept. to meet Giuseppe Iasilli and learn more about his job.

• Hi Giuseppe how long have you been working at Microtex Composites? What are your tasks?
  I have been working at Microtex Composites since October 2019 and I mostly manage the characterization of produced materials. My main task is to test performances of our prepregs for new systems development, existing products finalization or production batch validation.
• What’s your education?
  I graduated in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Pisa.
• What’s the best interesting tip of your job?
  The chance to follow the transformation of the product from its birth until its practical application is so amazing.
• Could you tell us about the most typical tests run in laboratory?
  We run a lot of tests in our laboratory. Beside the most classical ones like traction, compression, bending, delamination tests we also have the possibility to conduct specific analysis such as thermo-mechanical or dynamic- mechanical tests and finally accelerated ageing tests on raw materials.
  All of these are complementary tests giving peculiar points of view on our products and allowing customers to receive needed information.
