About us
Microtex Composites is a company belonging to the historical Becagli group that has specialized in the textile production since the end of the second world war. Nowadays the group consists of two companies: the original company dedicated to the production of traditional fabrics and Microtex Composites S.r.l. specialized in the manufacture of advanced composites, both dry and prepreg with different kind of resins (depending on the desired performance).

Microtex Composites is a vertical fully integrated reality that starts from the weaving of carbon fibre, develops its own resin systems and produces prepreg. The company is equipped with 3 solvent impregnation lines, one of which is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a hotmelt, a UD line, a Towpreg and SMC line.
Thanks to continuous research and development activity, today the company is a European excellence for carbon fibre manufactures widely used for:

1945
The founder of the group, Mario Becagli, establishes his first company by focusing on the development of innovative fabrics and methods.

1990
Microtex Cotton Club is founded by Mario Becaglis sons: Massimo and Lorenzo. Taking advantage of all the past experience and of the expertise gained until then. Microtex Cotton Club develops two branches, Clothing and Carbon Composites that keeps proceeding side by side. Production is focused on traditional fabrics, microfibres and coated materials.

2009
Microtex Cotton Club begins to develop an innovative product: carbon fibre fabrics for structural and aesthetical composites.

2010
Carbon fibre fabrics are successfully applied to motorsport, automotive, marine, rail and aerospace sectors.

2015
Microtex composites is founded by Massimo Becagli, Gianfranco Meschini and Silvio Campigli with a production capabilities of 1.200.000 sqm/year (dry & prepreg). ISO 9001 certification by TÜV Italia.

2017
Microtex Composites develops a competitive in-house research laboratory. Consolidation of an important commercial network in Europe.

2020
IATF 16949:16 certification by TÜV SUD Management Service. Production capacity of over 2.500.000 sqm/year of of carbon fibre materials.

2021
A new production plant of 8.000 smq is built in Pistoia.

Signed agreement with KORDSA Group, world leader in the tire fabrics industry.

EN 9100:18 - quality in the aerospace sector. This certification guarantees: To be an official aerospace supplier, to develop a quality system oriented towards continuous improvement of processes, products, services and performance and to provide professional solutions for the needs of all customers, manufacturers and suppliers.

It is no secret that our company has a sporty soul in view of our main markets such as automotive, motor sports and marine. This is why we are proud to be a partner of HP Racing Team.
What’s HP Racing Team? It is the HP Composites Team, born from the desire to see racing prototypes in their challenge on the track. In HP Racing Team, the protagonists are the young engineers, workers, mechanics who work in the company of Ascoli. The Ligier JSP4 of the HP Racing Team took part in the Ligier European Series 2020 and after touching SPA (Belgium), Le Castellet (France) Barcelona, it took part in the second-to-last race in Monza last weekend (9-10 October) and finished second! The last race is scheduled in Portimao (Portugal, 30-31 October).

Motorsport is one of the key markets of our company. The best way to celebrate it is on the racing track!
Simone Iaquinta has been confirmed the winner of Porsche Carrera Cup Italia 2019. Simone is part of the team Ghinzani Arco Motorsport of whom we are proud partner. He finished first followed by Diego Bertonelli (Q8 Hi Perform) and Patrick Kujala (Bonaldi Motorsport – Centro Porsche Bergamo).
Il Polimarche Racing Team è la squadra corse dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche che compete nel campionato internazionale Formula SAE. L’obiettivo della competizione è progettare, costruire e portare in pista un’auto da corsa, valutata in termini progettuali, di costi e di performance durante una serie di prove statiche e dinamiche.
